Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, fast worker, and excited about growing a company from the ground up. Historically, IT has been a shared function across multiple roles at FusionAuth, and this role represents a move to a more dedicated IT model. This is a great opportunity for someone to help shape the future of this function at FusionAuth. This role is based in the Denver area, and will report to the VP of Product Delivery.
As the IT Manager, you will manage the entire IT function, from infrastructure and security to employee support and equipment management, while driving strategic initiatives. You will partner closely with various teams to ensure that all technology services are reliable, secure, and scalable. This role requires a balance of hands-on IT management and strategic planning to support our growing team and business needs, including SOC2 compliance and network security.
Responsibilities
- Employee Experience: Onboarding / Offboarding / Ongoing Best Practice Training
- Proactively teach & train employees on best practices; this is a proactive role where you understand the functions and flows of each department and design the best IT practices to drive employee effectiveness
- Manage the technical aspects of the employee onboarding and offboarding process, including setting up new accounts, provisioning hardware, and ensuring proper access to systems.
- Partner with HR to ensure smooth transitions and maintain system security during offboarding processes.
- Procurement & Equipment Management
- Manage the procurement, inventory, shipping, setup, retrieval, and secure destruction of workstations and other equipment
- Manage hardware lifecycle processes and ensure devices are properly configured, maintained, and secured
- Account Management & Helpdesk Support
- Provide account management and helpdesk support to ensure employees receive timely technical assistance and access to necessary tools
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network services, and provide one-on-one or group training as needed
- Process Definition & Documentation
- Define and document standard operating procedures, workflows, and best practices for IT operations
- Develop and enforce IT policies around system access, security, and acceptable use
- Security & SOC2 Compliance
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain SOC2 compliance, implementing necessary IT controls, policies, and procedures
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices are enforced, and conduct regular security assessments to mitigate potential risks
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect data and maintain system integrity in the event of an outage or security incident
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet company standards for performance, security, and cost.
- Negotiate contracts and handle procurement of IT-related software, hardware, and services.
- Special Projects
- Be a key participant in special projects such as security and compliance audits, office build-outs, and more
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to support IT-related components of company-wide projects
Qualifications
- Experience
- 7+ years corporate IT management experience, with significant exposure to startup or high-growth environments
- Experience supporting a Mac-based organization and using Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems
- Experience supporting Google Workspace
- Knowledge of network security and best practices for securing corporate IT environments
- Proven track record of managing and maintaining SOC2 compliance or similar regulatory frameworks
- Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Exceptional project management, planning, and budgeting skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion while managing competing priorities
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with all teams
- A strong sense of urgency and ownership over projects and deliverables, coupled with a problem-solving mindset
- High level of integrity, with a humble, ethical approach to leadership and decision-making
- Located in the Denver metropolitan area with the ability to come into our Westminster office as needed

Compensation
- $100k - $150k expected base salary range*
*Pursuant to various state laws, we must display the pay range for this job. Since we are willing to hire within a broad spectrum of qualifications, we also reflect a broad pay range. The expected base salary range that we are targeting for this position can be adjusted up or down based on individual qualifications. Individual salary is determined by qualifications, role, level and location.
