Position Overview

Netwrix is on a mission to help customers protect and secure their identity and data landscape through market-leading on-prem and SaaS products and integrated solutions.

Netwrix Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) products provide leading identity security solutions to thousands of enterprise customers worldwide. Our ITDR products include Netwrix PingCastle (threat identification and risk scoring), Netwrix Threat Prevention (detection and mitigation), Netwrix Threat Manager (detection and response), and Netwrix Identity Recovery (backup and recovery).

The Netwrix Threat Manager (NTM) team is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer who will develop new features and capabilities for NTM, ITDR, and Netwrix product offerings. The Staff Software Engineer will ensure scalable and secure experiences for both on-prem and SaaS environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical leader to shape the future of cybersecurity threat detection. You will contribute to the advancement of our threat detection engine, with opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning capabilities that enable intelligent anomaly detection, automated threat response, and natural language interfaces for security teams. Working closely with senior engineers and product leaders, you’ll influence architectural direction, mentor engineers, and help deliver solutions that protect organizations worldwide against advanced identity-based threats.
This role is hybrid with visits to Kraków office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement threat detection capabilities leveraging deep Active Directory and Entra ID expertise to monitor, analyze, and detect security threats across hybrid environments
  • Write high-quality code and design scalable backend services for on-prem and SaaS environments, setting examples of technical excellence for the team and supporting key decisions on architecture, scalability, and integration approaches
  • Integrate NTM data and capabilities with those of Netwrix’s ITDR, Identity, Data, and 1Secure products.
  • Promote and optimize the use of AI tools and capabilities to accelerate Netwrix product development, and within Netwrix products to enable smarter threat detection, anomaly identification, and predictive analytics while ensuring interpretability and accuracy
  • Collaborate across functions with product management, platform teams, and engineering leadership to ensure technical direction aligns with business needs
  • Mentor and support the growth of engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, security-first thinking, and technical excellence

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8–10+ years of software development experience with a focus on enterprise software
  • Experience designing and delivering on-prem and SaaS software at scale
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS security best practices
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, modular architectures, and event-driven design
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication patterns
  • Strong proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages and frameworks used in both on-prem and SaaS product development
  • Experience with modern databases and frameworks in high-performance scenarios, such as PostgreSQL and Entity Framework Core
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proven ability to balance technical quality with business priorities and timelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex, ambiguous challenges
  • Experience mentoring or guiding engineers in technical growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core/.NET)
  • Familiarity with threat detection methodologies, SIEM concepts, and security frameworks
  • Experience with Entra ID and hybrid cloud identity solutions
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in threat detection
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities
  • Experience developing products that support both on-prem and SaaS environments
  • Understanding of the ITDR market and solutions
