Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing Professional Services work with Piano media clients in North and Latin America as a key deputy in the Americas to the Global VP, Professional Services. The Senior Strategist is responsible for overseeing the Client Strategist client work, as well as managing one or more associate strategist(s) and strategist(s) as necessary, contributing to overall improvement of process, identification of best practices and management of engagements with top tier clients.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Develop, present and execute plans to guide and optimize clients’ businesses and ensure best use and value from our platform
  • In collaboration with the Global VP, Professional Services, Americas, oversee Professional Services engagements with media clients in the North American market, ensuring the consistent delivery of results and high-quality guidance for our clients, with a primary focus on launch and optimization of media subscription businesses
  • Manage a team of Client Strategists, overseeing their work and ensuring the quality of all presentations, recommendations, marketing and testing plans delivered by the team.
  • Work with Professional Services leadership, Americas to implement and monitor strategist performance and offer recommendations for career advancement
  • Personally lead strategy, launch and optimization engagements with the account team and clients:
  • Define ideal use cases to drive results using Piano software for clients newly launching or already using the Piano platform
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns in support of client goals, defining target audiences, tactics, messaging plans and suggested copy
  • Leverage insights, benchmarks, performance metrics and industry trends to make strategic recommendations on how clients can optimize their business
  • Develop plans and execute audience research to inform strategic recommendations for clients
  • Create recommendations for audience segmentation to support internal marketing or advertising sales for clients
  • Monitor client performance on the platform; identify gaps and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Project Managers to ensure successful Professional Services engagements, representing Piano as the expert in subscription revenue optimization, user engagement and conversion in client meetings
  • Collaborate with the Global VP, Professional Services and data analysts to generate and synthesize analyses that guide optimization and build/expand documented best practices
  • As needed, lead Professional Services client pitches in collaboration with the Americas sales and client services teams
  • Conduct discovery of client challenges and business goals
  • Develop proposals for Professional Services engagements designed to meet client goals
  • Occasional travel to meet with clients

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience, proven experience in client strategy preferred
  • Relevant experience in digital marketing, SaaS, audience development, and/or social media strategy.
  • New York City-based; local to the area, at least 2 days per week in office
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; ability to learn quickly while on the job
  • A take-initiative attitude and proactive approach to getting the job done.
  • Team player: ability to collaborate closely with other departments. Knows what they don’t know and has good listening skills.
  • Sense of urgency; ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in a timely manner
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; presence to build relationships.
  • Analytical thinking, ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Proficiency and comfort using digital tools.
  • Facility with productivity tools (MS Office, Apple).
  • Knowledge of digital media monetization, media industries and online marketing.
  • English required; Spanish fluency a plus
