Position Purpose:
As the first dedicated HR professional in our key North American hub, your mission is to establish a strong operational and cultural foundation for our growing team in the US, while aligning with Shufti’s global people strategy. You will design and implement core HR processes that meet both local compliance requirements and international standards, serving as a bridge between regional execution and global excellence. From payroll and policy to employee engagement and relations, your work will enable our global teams to stay focused on their shared mission: fighting fraud and building trust in the digital world.

A pragmatic, hands-on HR expert with 5-8 years of experience, ready to be the cornerstone of our HR function. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can build, execute, and refine. Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Manage and execute all core HR operations with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on US employment law, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations issues, providing confidential guidance and resolving conflicts effectively.

Payroll & Benefits Administration:

  • Own the end-to-end payroll process, collaborating closely with Finance and/or external vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer all employee benefits programs, serving as the main liaison for enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.

Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for the US region, including headcount forecasting, job description creation, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Design and execute a seamless, engaging onboarding experience for new hires and manage the offboarding process.

Strategic Partnership & Analytics:

  • Partner closely with the Finance team on headcount budgeting, forecasting, and managing personnel costs.
  • Collaborate with global HR and management to align on people strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistency.

Qualifications & Experience (Non-Negotiable):

  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, with a proven hands-on approach.
  • Expert-level knowledge of US federal and state employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience in processing payroll and administering benefits programs.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and documenting HR policies and processes from the ground up.
  • Direct experience in headcount forecasting, budgeting, and a close partnership with a Finance department.
  • A proven problem-solver with excellent judgment and a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion.
  • Note: We prioritize proven, hands-on experience that meets the requirements above; academic background is secondary.

Preferred Qualifications (Ideal Add-ons):

  • Experience working in a global organization and supporting international teams.
  • Background in the Technology, SaaS, or FinTech sectors.
  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment, building HR processes from scratch.
