About the role
In this fast-paced role, you will work with our Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to develop creative solutions aimed at solving the needs of our clients. We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in customer-facing roles and an insatiable curiosity for technology. In concert with the Sales Team, the Solution Engineer plays a critical role in deciphering complex application architectures and devising creative yet practical solutions. While the role is primarily pre-sales focused, Solution Engineer will act as a customers' trusted advisor throughout the sales process and into launch. This approach enables the optimization of pre-sales and post-sales efforts to form a cohesive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer training, technical onboarding, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Help Sales and Customer Success to understand the processes, pains, needs, and wishes of prospects and customers.
  • Along with Sales, Customer Success, and tech support, communicate with prospects and customers via email, chat, or video calls.
  • Work closely with prospects and customers to identify the best configuration options.
  • Help explain features and releases to clients.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to help influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Improvado’s platform and evangelize Improvado’s value and features to potential customers.
  • Own the discovery and qualification of Improvado’s technical compatibility with prospects and provide consultative guidance on technical deal strategy.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure Proof of Concepts, Trial, and Onboarding are successful.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by translating, aggregating, and representing customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Utilize strong business acumen, including best practices and business processes, to understand and communicate business requirements and solutions strategies to customers and prospects.

Qualifications

  • Moderate SQL knowledge.
  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS environment.
  • 3+ years of Technical Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering / IT Project management or software engineering experience.
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising, ad-tech, and mar-tech space.
  • Experience as a client-facing Solution Engineer, comfortable in the sales environment.
  • Superior communications skills.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • An understanding of the principles of working with large amounts of data, the ability to structure information and technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of APIs, Relational Databases, Cloud Architecture.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data warehouses.

Nice to Have

  • You have worked on the most popular DWH/DB/Cloud Storage (e.g. Google BigQuery, Amazon S3, Snowflake, etc.)
  • You analyzed marketing performance data.
  • Experience working in a Startup.
